JESSI GOTTA (Director/EP/Producer/Co-Writer)

is a NYC based award-winning filmmaker. She formed her first production company, gotta/enk films, with co-conspirator Bryan Enk in 2009. Their first feature, THE BIG BAD, has screened at several national and international film festivals and won Jessi the Best Feature Writer award from the 2011 LA Femme International Film Festival. THE BIG BAD also won many additional awards while on the festival circuit and is currently distributed by Entertainment One. Jessi’s second film and directing debut, ANNIVERSARY DINNER, has screened at several  film festivals and won Best Short Screenplay from the 2012 Maverick Movie Awards, among other awards. ANNIVERSARY DINNER was screened at several events as a part of the 2012-2013 Viscera Film Festival tour and Scream Queen Fest Tokyo. THEY WILL OUTLIVE US ALL, Jessi's third film, has won several awards including: Best Horror Sci-Fi Feature from the 2013 Toronto Independent Film Festival, Best Horror Feature from the 2013 ShockerFest International Film Festival, Best Horror Comedy from the 2013 Atlanta Horror Film Festival and Best Feature & Best Creature Feature from the 2013 New Mexico Fright Fest. BRYAN ENK (EP)

has written, produced and/or directed over 20 films since 1992, ranging in running times from 1 to 120 minutes and in genres from experimental horrorscapes to romantic dramas. His most recent projects include THE PASSION OF PAUL ROSS (currently in post-production), the companion piece/spiritual semi-sequel to his four-part grunge fantasy anthology, PINK COFFINS (1998), and THE BIG BAD, a feature-length horror film he produced with his gotta/enk production partner, Jessi Gotta, and for which he won the Best Director award from the 2011 Maverick Movie Awards.

 

Bryan is also the creator and curator of THE SINISTER SIX, an annual horror anthology series featuring six short films by six directors that screened in New York City over Halloween weekend through four installments (2006-2009), and the co-creator of PENNY DREADFUL, the highly acclaimed 12-episode supernatural stage serial that performed at The Brick Theater in Brooklyn, NY (2007-2009).

 

 

 

BRIAN SILLIMAN (AP/Co-Writer)

Original plays include THE BIRTH, ADOPTION, AND DEATH OF DOROTHY DUTCHESS (FringeNYC 2003), THE COLONEL'S HOLIDAY (Pelican Theatre 2005), THE MAGIC OF MRS. CROWLING (Royal Circus 2007, published by Original Works Publishing), and SAVIOR (Comic Book Theatre Festival 2011). In musical theatre he has written the books to 16 DAYS, WONDER PIG and JONESTOWN THE MUSICAL, which one critic at FringeNYC 2004 wrote was "the face of evil." He has written countless short plays and poems and in 2011 contributed two horror shorts for THE BLOOD BROTHERS PRESENT: FREAKS FROM THE MORGUE, one of which won the Rod Serling Award for Best Short Script and Best Short Production.

 

 

 

PATRICK SHEARER (AD)

is a director, actor, producer and sound designer for film and theatre based out of New York. He is the Director of the award-winning feature film THEY WILL OUTLIVE US ALL, written and produced by Jessi Gotta through a gotta and two shearers. THEY WILL OUTLIVE US ALL has had an extensive festival run, playing throughout the world and garnering a number of awards, as well as making it onto several critics’ “Best of 2013” lists. He collaborated as Assistant Director on Jessi Gotta’s short film ANNIVERSARY DINNER and can be seen in the role of Carter Petch in the gotta/enk film THE BIG BAD, which is distributed by Phase 4 Films. As writer, director and editor, his own short film EVERMORE was presented in the SINISTER SIX MUST BE DESTROYED short film anthology and has become quietly notorious due to its graphic nature.

 

With Pete Boisvert he co-founded THE BLOOD BROTHERS PRESENT..., a Manhattan-based theatrical series of original, live horror plays presented every October in the tradition of the Grand Guignol, with special effects by Stephanie Cox-Williams. MEGHAN SCIBONA (Producer)

is also the producer and co-director of the vampire feature BLOOD JUNKIES and co-producer of the feature GHOST CLUB, starring William Forsythe. She is currently producing BLACKOUT, a feature-length documentary with award-winning director Scott Colthorp. Meghan also produced the experimental feature TAG, YOU'RE IT and the sitcom pilot, ASPIRING LINE. She produced and directed EXIT STRATEGY, a web series for Nickelodeon, as well as the web series PODOPERA BROOKLYN and WING WOMEN, plus numerous short films. She has worked at Focus Features in the development department, at the Tribeca Film Festival in the press department and has spoken on panels about filmmaking at the South by Southwest Film Festival. DARYL LATHON (DP/Editor)

is a profound actor, dilettantish director and utilitarian writer, working in theatre and video mediums. His film credits behind the camera include 00;12;24;10 film series (Executive Producer), PHONE FALL (Director), SUNSHINE: AN APOCALYPTIC LOVE STORY (Director, Writer), BFF (Director, Writer) and the web series CLEAN KILL (Director, Writer). Much thanks goes to Don Downie and the rest of the crew without whom there would be no photography to direct.

 

 

 

JANE ROSE (FX)

got her start in filmmaking as a member of Reel Sweet Betty, a Williamsburg, Brooklyn-based guerilla filmmaker collective, where she discovered a love of prop-making and practical FX. Having made a few short films, she decided to get serious about FX and took classes at Makeup Mania, the School of Visual Arts and Combat Inc., in addition to gaining valuable knowledge from established makeup artists around NYC. Jane’s work has since been seen on The History Channel, THE TODAY SHOW, CONAN O’BRIEN, and in many local film and theatre productions. Her movies have been screened at the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival, the Coney Island Film Festival and the Pretty-Scary Film Festival.

 

Jane also worked on the gotta/enk feature film, THE BIG BAD, as lead makeup and FX artist, for which she won the Best Special Effects Make-up award from the 2011 Maverick Movie Film Awards, Best Special Effects from the Fall 2011 L.A. New Wave Film Festival and Best Special Effects from the 2012 Los Angeles Movie Awards. Jane was also lead makeup artist on gotta/enk’s award-winning short film, ANNIVERSARY DINNER. SHANNON K. HALL (Post Production Supervisor)

has worked in post production for feature film and television for more than a decade and has worked in the most prestigious post facilities in the world (R!OT Santa Monica, Company 3, PostWorks, Deluxe).  Over the years she's had the distinct privilege of delivering broadcast content to all of the major networks (and some of the minor ones) on some of the most iconic television series in recent history (GIRLS, DEADWOOD, DAMAGES and THE BORGIAS are among the more than thirty episodics and pilots from over the years). She has also had a hand in more than twenty-five feature films and documentary features. For the first twenty-five years of her life she thought she was an actor. Then she ran away with the circus when she thought she was a writer (she was on the road with the Big Apple Circus for two and a half tours). Then she thought she was a filmmaker when she got off the road with the Circus and landed in L.A. Turns out she is all three of these things – though rarely all at once.  She is thrilled to be part of the gotta/enk family and looks forward to kicking around with these cats for a long time to come.

 

 

 

DON DOWNIE (Camera Operator)

is a director and cinematographer with more than 15 years experience in the entertainment industry and the world of interactive content. He is one of the owners of Small Media Extra Large, a hybrid film and interactive studio that tells compelling stories across an array of media: film, television, web video, social networks and interactive design. Don's passion for storytelling is supported by a strong background in creative arts and a deep understanding of technology. He recently directed his first feature film, an indie horror flick called BLOOD JUNKIES. Other recent directing credits include a music video for Moby, a pilot for TeenNick called EXIT STRATEGY, the interactive soap opera "podOpera Brooklyn" and a live theatre and video installation for The Public Theatre's 365 Days/365 Plays. He is an expert in using small media to tell big stories and has spoken at professional conferences on subjects ranging from digital filmmaking technology to the new media stars in "food porn."

is an SFX/gore designer, fight choreographer, actor and director for independent theatre and film in New York. A graduate of the film department at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Dorian has had a passion for filmmaking since 1993, when he discovered a way to bring dinosaurs back to life. A curious and enthusiastic fellow with endless interests, Dorian has found himself over time involved in myriad aspects of the medium, from cinematography and directing, to writing, producing, editing and art direction. Dorian's goal is always to create the best movie possible, whether it be his own project or that of a fellow dreamer.
